Duties
Saturdays : Please arrive just after 12:00 to be ready to be on the water for 1pm.
Sundays : Please arrive at the club just after 10:00 first race is normally between 11:00 and 11:30
(These timings are for normal club sailing only - Special events such as Opens will notify their own times to their volunteers)
Race Officer & Assistant Race Officer
Organising the days racing events.
You might be required to go out in the launch so you should be dressed accordingly and have a bouyancy aid.
Rescue Officer
This duty requires that you have either RYA Powerboat Level 2 / RYA Safety Boat or that have attended the Club Rescue Boat Course.
You will be out on the water in the launch and may be required to enter the water and therefore an appropriate level of clothing and fitness is necessary. You will require a bouyancy aid.
Assistant Rescue Officer
No previous training is necessary.
You will be out on the water in the launch, you may be required to enter the water and therefore an appropriate level of clothing and fitness is necessary. You will require a bouyancy aid.
Galley
(Saturday duty provides hot drinks and sweets only)
